• *What is the cost for the notecards and how much profit will we make? For $7, you will receive 10 identical notecards with your digital image, matching envelopes, back cover text, stationery box label text, and a stationery box. The average profit for this fundraiser is $6 per box, which means a profit of $600 for every 100 boxes sold! Optional features/costs include: front cover text, scanning if your photos/artwork are not digital, proofs, packaging (we will fold and package the notecards into the stationery boxes), mixed boxes (we will randomly mix the notecard designs prior to packaging), sales tax (for Virginia orders only), and shipping/handling. Please see pricing chart below for additional pricing information.
• *What type of photos or artwork can I send in? Digital photos should be scanned in at 300 dpi resolution or taken at the highest resolution setting of the digital camera. All digital images must be in .jpg (JPEG) format. The ideal type of artwork is marker drawings. However, colored pencil and crayons will work well, as long as they are not too light. Paintings can also be sent in, however, keep in mind that the papers need to lay completely flat to be scanned in and the paint may crack. Collages using fabrics and construction paper also scan well, but the flatter the collage is the better it will look when scanned in. All photos/artwork must be on 8.5 by 11 inch paper or smaller and we strongly recommend using white paper for artwork. All photos/artwork submitted will be returned along with the order.
• *What is front cover text , back cover text, and stationery box label text? At no additional charge, you can add text to the back of the notecard. Some organizations write a short line of text describing the artist, the photo/artwork, or inspirational quotes for the back of the notecards. On the front of the notecard you can also add text below the image. Please see pricing chart below for front cover text. On the bottom of each stationery box is a label. This label includes the number of notecards and envelopes (10 of each), information for placing orders through My Notecard Maker, and in the center, space for a paragraph of text about your organization and your fundraiser – at no additional charge. Most organizations use this space to briefly describe themselves and what the money raised will go towards. This text will be identical on every box of notecards.
• *Why should we request a proof? Seeing the photos/artwork and dedications on the notecards themselves can generate more sales. Occasionally mistakes may be made by our customers when typing or writing the text for their notecards and box labels. Seeing a sample of the notecard gives you the opportunity to correct any minor errors that may have been made. Please see pricing chart below for electronic and paper proofs.
• *How long does it take to complete this fundraiser? Once we receive the complete order (all artwork/photos, text, and payment), your order will take approximately 2 to 3 weeks plus shipping for up to 100 boxes. If we will be scanning your artwork/photos for you, your order will take approximately 4 to 6 weeks plus shipping for up to 100 boxes. Please add 1 to 2 weeks for each additional 100 boxes. If you choose to have an electronic or paper proof, please add 1 to 3 weeks.
